But I just have mine on with some aggressive black emblem tape and is still holding strong. That way I didnt need to drill any holes in lower grill...

No prob... but if ya don't drill holes and just use tape. Be careful in that area when washing/drying so you don't rip it off obviously! I learned that the hard way and had to do it again...so I used more aggressive adhesive tape and now shes on there.

 

I did the same as RBugnitz with the tape. It's been holding for years.

 

I drilled holes, it looks great after 2 years on the road with 0 issues.

 

Hey man, You can try 3m tape (the red one at pep boys or advance auto) for car emblems.. i've used it to move emblems around on my old tc

To give you an idea how strong it is... I once used it to stick a 35-38lb mirror to a cement wall for friends in their new apartment... 3 years later when they decided to move out ( like about 9 months ago ) we had to use a blow dryer, thinner and steel rope, the ones used to cut wood... to remove the mirror from the wall... once you put, it aint going anywhere just prep the area right and you'll be fine. p.s. does not damage paint either!
